We Care to Wear Red

To raise awareness among local women that heart disease is their #1 health threat, Kona Community Hospital will organize a “We Care to Wear Red” day for all of the employees of the hospital. The event will take place on National Wear Red Day, Friday, February 4 and will illustrate the support that the hospital has in regards to heart health awareness. A photo opportunity is scheduled for 11 a.m. in front of the Administration building.

Nine Strong Years for Kona Hospital Foundation’s Gala and Golf Classic

Pink Friday Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

Kona Community Hospital’s (KCH) had its first Pink Friday on Friday, October 22. This day represented the hospital’s support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. As a pilot event, hospital staff was encouraged to wear pink to work as a sign of an employee’s recognition of the significance that breast cancer has to our hospital, our families and loved ones and to our community.
