Let’s Talk Story

Talking about death is hard, but the greatest gift you can leave behind for your loved ones is to have your last wishes known. According to the National Survey by The Conversation Project, 90% of people say that talking with their loved ones about end-of-life care is essential, but only 27% have done so.
Join us in a free talk story session with Kōkua Mau as we share how you can have these conversations with your loved ones and healthcare providers to feel more confident and ready for the future.
After our session, we will hold a Lavender Ceremony and Celebration of Life. Our Lavender Ceremony was activated in KCH in 2020 to provide closure between death and postmortem for both nurses and families after a patient passes. We invite you to send us the names of your loved ones to be included in our Lavender Ceremony by email to KCHCircleofLIfe@hhsc.org.
